Why does this say vegan? It's not!!?
They were very very slow. Had to leave before order was ready..
MaryAnn's Kitchen is well known for her down home, healthy cooking. Nice sized portions and always delicious. Her soups are especially good.
MoreExcellent slow food breakfasts, kind and loving staff, our inked young waitress was attentive to the seating of our table right away. Food smelled and looked great. Seemed popular with an older crowd. Reasonably priced. Recommended.
MoreDisappointing. Google listing says Vegan Restaurant. I don't think they know what that is. Should be a great place considering the location and home like atmosphere. Work on your menu and use better ingredients.
MoreSmall and quaint little place. Excellent service and even better food! Perfect for a vacation breakfast spot.
MoreGreat Breakfasts
My wife and I had breakfast there just before the Anacortes art festival. By far the best biscuits and gravy we have ever had and the portions were excellent. We will definitely go back.
MoreLove it love it love it. Bacon and eggs done right. Wonderful service.
Mary Ann's Kitchen in Anacortes has some great Vegan dishes. On occasion I have ordered one and then asked if she could include three different types of meat in it. To her gracious credit she has generously complied. If you have not eaten there heretofore I can only recommend that you hasten to do so....
MoreGreat food and service for sure great home cook deliousness
I don't know why this place has such high reviews. You can get good breakfast food basically anywhere, so the fact they can cook an egg does not make up for the terrible service. We waited 20 minutes to get our food order taken, and other people who had sat down after us got theirs taken first. There was no apology when our server finally showed up, and she had a dour attitude as well. Horrible!
MoreMy wife and stopped after visiting the farmer’s market last Saturday. It felt like we were in a small home. The service was great, but the food was even better. We shared a Club sandwich and had a small salad. First, the salad was so fresh it seemed like it was picked from their garden right before they brought to our table and the vinaigrette dressing was equally as good. Secondly, the sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. The half sandwich was almost more than we could eat and it was delicious. Lastly, the tortilla chips were the best we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely eat here again.
MoreGreat breakfast... have the pancake!
Fun place with homemade meals using locally and organic products. Best pancakes!! Very delicious and large servings. Great prices and good service
MoreGreat breakfasts. Clean kitchen. A cozy little hometown spot.
The food service and atmosphere are the best of hometown Americana. This place is delightful and the food is great.
MoreHad been told this place was great, but I got up and left, after I ordered biscuits and gravy and was then informed they were out of gravy... so...I ordered pancakes, but was then informed they were out of them as well...I was clean and nicely dressed, but it felt like they didn't like me for some reason....I think they were actually out of the ingredients they claimed, but I will not return to this place.
MoreHad a decent good scrabble hear and a good bacon egg salad sandwich yum. Biscuits and gravy is a two star truly a long lost art, truly the hardest thing to find a good biscuit and county sausage gravy. Bacon salad sandwich was a 4 star. Never heard of such a sandwich or even though of this genius combo.
MoreAnother pearl in Anacortes... Great food, service, and hometown cooking!
This is a nice family home style cooking restaurant. My only complaint is having to wait for 15 minutes to get a refill on coffee and not to attentive in checking in .
MoreAmazing. The world would be a better place if it were full of places like Mary Ann's Kitchen
MoreProbably the best breakfast in town. We really appreciated the friendly, efficient service.
MoreVery yummy omlet very good prices don't go to the donut shop in Anacortes they rip you off and don't care
MoreOMG! The blueberry pancakes were ALMOST as good as my Grandma's...and to me, that's high praise. This lady makes everything by herself and does a phenominal job! We enjoyed the staff, the atmosphere and, of course, the food. Oh, and the coffee was great and they kept it coming. My only complaint is they aren't open on Sunday because we really wanted to eat there again during this trip. Next time...
MoreLove this place!! The biscuits and the staff are awesome. Just on some days they close early. So you’re not to sure of the time. Other than that my favorite place to have breakfast.
MoreFood was fresh and delicious. Service was very veerrryyy slow, and the coffee was the worst I've had. When I asked for water to replace the coffee, I did not get any water (until I asked another employee), was not offered fresh coffee or anything of the sort. I don't believe I'll be returning.
MoreThe food is delicious, the service is awesome, they have gluten free and dairy free options.
MoreTakes some time for food to arrive, but 100% worth the wait
Had time between my ferry and my flight and stopped in for a great breakfast at Mary Ann's. Delicious pancakes!
MoreThe food is fresh and good. The customer's are awesome locals always happy to be there and say hello. I wish the menue would change up a bit. I love the servers but the owner who is also the cook is not nice to the workers at all. Sometimes the servers handle way more then they should and so it is discurging to see them be miss treated for doing there best. All in all tho...good food. O yeah..the French toast is not good but the pancakes are amazing! And be prepared to wait up to and some times more then an hour.
MoreGreat breakfast destination in Anacortes - wait may be needed but food is great. Fresh produce/ingredients, good service and super deserts.
MoreThe place is cute and cozy. Friendly service but the food wasn’t that great. My husband and I tried a little bit of everything and it was cold/ bland. We are from the south and maybe we just had high expectations.
MoreGreat homestyle cooking that dosnt leave you feeling greasy. Good portion sizes and delicious food
MoreCoffee was weak & cold, service very slow but friendly. We had breakfast and although what we seen being served to others looked very good ours was barley warm. We will explore other places next time.
MoreHome cooked food from scratch!!!!!
The food is excellent but regular patrons go before 1st come 1st serve. If you are in a hurry don't go there
MoreGreat variety for breakfast, good prices of 8 to 10 dollars for a full meal. Biscuits are the best I have had in years. Highly recommend!
MoreGreat food, all made by Mary Ann so it is always consistent. Just do not go if you are in a rush and it is packed, it will be awhile since Mary Ann is the only one that cooks. Well worth the wait if you want a delicious meal. There are many of us that frequent weekly, and many locals daily. The buttermilk pancakes are the best I've ever had, and you can add blueberries to make it even better. The sandwiches are amazing as well, both cold and hot- she has an egg salad and bacon sandwich that I love. This is one of the 3 restaurants I will order eggs at, because I am so fussy about how they are cooked. Joe's scramble is great and the veggie hash is loaded with feta and mozzarella, definitely two meals in one. I have nothing but praise for her food. On your way out make sure to grab a cookie as well, they are to die for.
MoreThe food was amazing! A cozy little place downtown with a great staff. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and made some new friends. Highly recommended!
MoreFood was great! The hostess/busser was fabulous as well but our server was anything but attentive. Took over 10 minutes to order, she didnt evm acknowledge the wait time. Took our order and left. When our food was done she just dropped it off at the table with nothing to say, never came back to check on us. The table behind us asked if they could pay for their coffee so they could leave since clearly no one was going to take their order. We had to go find her to get our bill. If the waitress had her stuff together this would be a great place.
MoreThere were several dirty empty tables when we walked in. Not busy enough to justify the dirty tables. The 2 waitresses didn't care about other people's time. They both were eating the cookies out of the case they were being sold out of. Very unprofessional customer service. Personally, there should be a dress code because one of them looked like she was wearing her pjs. And the other looked like she was on drugs. The food was good though
MoreMy favorite place for fresh, healthy & delicious meals! Love the Spinach Salad with chicken in it.
MoreLove the fresh home cooked meals here. When you go don't be rushed. They cook each meal in order. So be prepared to relax enjoy the ambiance and enjoy the best fresh prepared meal ever. If you like Pancakes Mary Ann's has the best in Anacortes!
MoreWe stopped by for breakfast before whale watching. Friendly staff. It was a little slow but food was great. Come when you aren't rushing somewhere and enjoy the experience.
MoreActually the food was really good, great taste for a small joint
Great, great food!!! Anacortes secret gem. Will be going back for breakfast and lunch.
MoreGood home cooking. Literally the best pancakes I've ever had! A must eat!
Food was delicious and service was good as well. Breakfast available all day. Food had a "homemade " taste. Nice atmosphere and quiet enough even with the tables full to have a conversation.
MoreThis restaurant resides in the bottom floor of an old, quaint, small house in downtown Anacortes. We went there for breakfast and loved all our orders. Very large portions of wholesome comfort food.
MoreMary Ann’s kitchen is our go to place for breakfast & at times lunch. Over the years it has been consistently good. A variety of value menu items with great service. Yes, service can be slow when crowded which is an opportunity for relaxed conversation with significant other or friends. Mary Ann’s, thank goodness, is not McDonalds!
